Northern Macedonia President Stevo Pendarovski said North Macedonia wants to send more soldiers to Kosovo as part of the international KFOR military mission.

Among other things, Pendarovski in Rtv 21 said Kosovo would certainly be one of the UN Security Council topics.

We are fortunate and have favourable circumstances that we are NATO members and receive information from the EU Security Council, besides the Israeli-Haams War, the topic will also be northern Kosovo, while Ukraine will be the topic. We want to send more soldiers to Kosovo”, Pendarovski said.

Pendarovski also added that it could happen for neighbouring Albania to make more progress than North Macedonia on the road to the European Union.

I'm afraid we cannot reach an internal national consensus at the main intersections. We can debate everything, but we should not discuss national interests,” says Pendarovski.

According to him, in the fall of 2019 he applied for a new methodology, and it has been clear that Northern Macedonia will not get the green light.

At the request of some political parties, we called a meeting where we said we reconfirm our commitment to EU membership. Whatever happens, we are for the EU. The debate lasted less than an hour. We had a very constructive meeting. No one had problems until they went home and then the” charges began, Pendarovski said.
