Macro caused confusion over visas, Rama took “to the country” his message

President Emmanuel Macron's statement on visa liberalisation for Kosovo in Tirana prompted numerous reactions, primarily dealing with whether the head of the French state was well translated. The translation issue was not clarified until the end, even though French Ambassador to Pristina went out to calm the public, saying [...]
For the confusion that Macron's statement in Tirana created for Kosovo and the clear statement of Eddie Rama, which came up with a version of it on what the Frenchman meant. In Rama's words, based on a conversation with Macron, visa liberalisation is at stake.
For Rama, what Macron said was very clear, and there was advice for her to be heard well, since some <x0vjetre opportunity” is ahead of Kosovo. The Albanian prime minister discovered little of the conversation he had with Macroni on the matter.
He touched the situation on the question of dialogue, like everyone else, but maybe a little more than others. He is naturally hurt by the fact that even though he is personally engaged together with Chancellor Scholz to put on the table a plan, called the Franco-German plan, and that is the best thing Kosovo can do at this stage of its history. And discussing me said: I'm not ready to yield if those in Pristina will not pave the way for agreement on the Franco-German plan”, Rama said in Opinion.
Rama assured that Macro “was considering visas” when he said that.
It was very clear. What was very disturbing was that both the public figures and the false profiles, with the instigation of the public figures, were thrown into an attack on him and even on me, you say I did it”.
According to Rama, Kosovo should not do any favors to its allies.
They're hearing and reading what they said because they talked for the next few weeks that are weeks of opportunity. So that there should be movement in the right direction, because it cannot be taken hostage by the entire community of Kosovo allies and friends, it cannot be taken hostage by the entire Euro-Atlantic community to bring about a very, very determined and equally sincere effort to solve the Kosovo issue itself”.
Rama was asked why Macro “mentioned Kosovo visas and did not mention any sanctions against Serbia”. But that's why he had answers.
“You should ask France's president”, he said, continuing to show his view of further development of the Kosovo-Serbia agreement.
“What I can say is their commitment and the reason why all this reaction, which is not only about Macroni, but also about this refusal of commitment, is that they are invested in Kosovo, not in Serbia because it means investing in solving this problem means investing in Kosovo, because Serbia may not be at all interested in the solution, it might be interested to drag it on indefinitely, and for as long as they have put it at the table that is de facto recognition of Kosovo, they don't understand all of this nonsense and why they are so demanding about Kosovo because they think they think it's the right to do Kosovo and then they have to do it. This is very simple”, Rama said. /gazeta Express
