Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has commemorated the 111th anniversary of the Serbian occupation of Pristina, saying that October 22nd of 1912, marks one of the darkest days in the modern history of Albanians and Kosovo.
In a Facebook post, Kurti wrote that that that day, 111 years ago, the ethnic Serb entity and Serbia's regular military invaded Pristina and killed thousands of civilian Albanians.
“Four days earlier, on October 18th 1912, about 255,000 Serb soldiers divided into three groupings set off in three directions, a day after Serbia declared war on the Ottoman Empire. Of them, Serbia's Third Army, with about 76,000 soldiers, commanded by General Bozidar Jankoviq, was tasked with occupying Kosovo”, Kurti has remembered.
