Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has said Trepca miners have entered on the fourth day of the strike, and their health situation is rapidly and significantly deteriorating.

According to him, this form of protest was not their choice but was the only solution because of the government's complete ignoring of their demands for more than two years.

Their “requirements are right and necessary so they must be met urgently. Unfortunately, even though they have spent more than 72 hours on strike, these hundreds of miners, who are standing hundreds of meters in the depths of the earth, have had no visit from the prime minister, from the minister or any other power official. Of course, they're leaving because their big promises yesterday about Trepca and miners, today it's proven to have been just cheating”, Memli Krasniqi wrote.

He said hiding government is not a solution.

I invite the Prime Minister and Government to stand up to their promises to the miners and meet their demands. The PDK is willing to make its contribution in this direction, so we will not be silenced by the injustices and neglect being made to our miners' demands: ” heroes, it is over.
