(3 years ago)Kosovo is the second worst country in Europe to live as a woman, according to data from the 2023 Women, Peace and Security Index launched on Tuesday. Medium has released the report only for Europe, while at the world ranking Kosovo stands in 100th place.
In fact, women's involvement, justice and security are measured. Thirteen meters from schooling to employment laws and perception of security and violence have been used.
Nine of the world's top ten female states are in Europe. Denmark tops the list, with triple more points than Afghanistan is the last country. After Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden are in the rankings.
Ukraine is the last in Europe, out of 41 states, which performed extremely low in the security sector, due to the war.
Kosovo's low scores were attributed to poor schooling and low employment rates for women, as well as to highly high <x0-level” women's birth deaths.
Azerbaijan was the third worst because of its preference to bear boys more than girls.
