Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that after the tests they have done have come up with a proposal for additional risks to the Kosovo Police.

This proposal includes 7 categories, which are subject to risk extensions. The extensions for elite units; the Special Intervention Unit, the unit for quick intervention, and the nearby protection unit are 150 euros of additional wage, 120 euros additional euros for the K9 special operating unit and the explosive unit and demining”.

“Border patrol participants will benefit from 100 euros a month, while investigative members from an additional 75 euros monthly. The reactive teams and patrols that simultaneously make up the largest number of Kosovo police will receive an additional 60 euros per month, while police officers engaged in securing facilities and those in operations management will be separated from 50 euros, 45 euros in additional risk of” respectively.

Kurti said this decision takes into account the tense situation in northern Kosovo.

In the past, additions did not always reflect need and credit. They had caused inequality among the police officers. Meanwhile, our proposal for classification has been made carefully so as not to bridge differences and repeat previous defects. The difference between the highest and the lowest extension is approximately 1 to 3, respectively. The surplus for riskiness will start applying from the November month's salary. And for months now from the entry into force of the new Law for Salaries, the additions of risklessness, as we have said before, will be retroactively divided”, Kurti said.
