The new commander of KFOR, Ozkan Ulucaš, has realised his first visit to Belgrade after coming to the helm of the mission.
There he was hosted by Serbia's Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces Milan Mojsilovic, with whom, as told by the Serbian Army's release, spoke of the security situation in Kosovo following Banjska's terrorist attack, as well as “for activities that could be taken to improve peace and security in Kosovo”.
Mojsilovic stressed that Serbia's <x0 Army, in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and Military Technical Agreement, recognises KFOR as the only legitimate armed formation in Kosovo and expressed the expectation that international security forces will take the necessary measures, steps to de-trade the situation and protect Serbian national, cultural and religious heritage <x1.
“The Chief of General Staff stressed the importance of co-operation on all levels placed between the Armed Forces of Serbia and KFOR for the preservation of security and prevention of crises, with full and impartial implementation of KFOR's mandate granted with UN Security Council resolution”, the communiqué reportedly further in the communique for this meeting.
