The Israeli Army says its fighter planes hit 150 underground targets overnight and killed Hamas' air operations leader.
According to foreign media, Telegrafi traces, Israeli Protection Forces said they had hit, as they called, terrorist tunnels and underground war space during a period of very serious air strikes north of the Gaza Strip.
Among some of Hamas' operatives killed, the army said, was the man responsible for Hamas' air assets, which he called Asem Abu Rakaba.
He had participated in planning the October 7th attack on Israeli communities near the Gaza border, and “directed terrorists who penetrated Israel paraglidered”, according to the IDF.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Army has said it is expanding ground operations and has warned residents of the city of Gaza to move south.
Daniel Hagari, a spokesman for the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), said late Friday: “in addition to the attacks we have carried out in recent days, land forces are expanding their activity this evening”.
“The IDF is acting with great force... to achieve war targets”
Overnight, Israeli combat planes hit 150 underground targets in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF said on Saturday.
This included terrorist <x0Uniles, underground warspace and additional underground infrastructure” and resulted in the death of several Hamas members.
