The Kosovo government is expected to again make a decision to postpone the country's census process.
It becomes known that following the Kosovo Statistics Agency's request, the country's executive is expected to make a decision this week to postpone the population registration process again.
The deputy head of the AKS, during the report Friday to the Parliamentary Commission for Buzhet, has counted several other challenges that make it difficult to start the registration process, such as lack of pills, lack of supervision of the process, and the failure of supervisors.
He has even said in the Commission that the AKS has submitted proposals to Government to postpone the census date in April next year.
The government, with its last decision, has decided that the population registration process will begin on 1 November and last until 15 December.
The last census in Kosovo was conducted in 2011, while the census, which was due to take place in 2021, was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the 2011 census, the total number of residents in Kosovo is estimated to be around 1.8 million. / KP
