Serbia's September 24th aggression will today be the topic of discussion in the European Parliament.
MPs there will be discussed five draft resolutions for the situation in the north.
In draft resolution proposed by “S&D Group”, consisting of the Socialists and the Democrats, has been urged to the European Union that “urgently change its buffer policy towards Serbia”.
Also at 13th point of the “draft resolution S&D Group” is called for the EU-led measures towards Kosovo to be removed immediately.
The Pro-European Parliament's draft resolution has also handed over the pro-European political group, which has called on the EU and its member states to prepare sanctions against organisers, funders and authors of the September 24th attack on Banjska based on the investigation findings.
Also, in the draft resolution of this group, it has been called on Serbia to refrain from its efforts to isolate Kosovo from the international community.
The draft resolution has also handed over the group of “Greens/European Free Alliance”, which consists mainly of green and regional political parties.
This group in the European Parliament has handed over a 24-point draft resolution, with all perpetrators of Banjska's terrorist attack required at point 2 to be brought to justice, while citing the May attacks on KFOR members, Kosovo Police and journalists.
Also, it has been called on the European Commission and the Council of Europe to take measures against the Government of Serbia if investigations reveal that the Serbian state was directly involved in the terrorist attack in Banjska or in May 2023 attacks, or whether Serbian authorities are willing to co-operate with Kosovo authorities.
In addition, this political group in the European Parliament, in the draft resolution, has expressed concern over evidence linking criminal groups in northern Kosovo to the state of Serbia.
On the other hand, Kosovo has been asked to establish the Association of Serb Majorities “without further delays, in line with the 2013 and 2015 Brussels Accords, the Constitutional Constitutional Court of Kosovo, and the Act of Kosovo Constitutional Court 2015”.
Aggression in Banjska has also condemned the group of European conservatives and Reformers who come from the right.
But the same in the draft resolution, which consists of nine points, have sought to investigate Serbia and be held responsible for the actions of the terrorist group.
This group has indicated that it supports calls for elections in northern Kosovo “and encourages authorities to implement all policies needed to ensure fair, democratic and peaceful elections”.
While, the fifth draft resolution in the European Parliament has sent the largest and oldest group to parliament, called “PPPE”, which is the centre-right group.
The PEP has strongly condemned the terrorist invasion in Kosovo and the attack on Kosovo police officers in Banjska, as it has asked Kosovo authorities to flock their efforts “to prevent arms smuggling in the country, which is being carried out using ambulances and church objects belonging to the Serbian Orthodox Church in northern Kosovo”.
