EU to call emergency meeting Tuesday for Israeli-Haams war

The EU will call an urgent meeting of member states to discuss the consequences of worsening the situation in Israel and Palestine.

This comes amid concerns in the EU that the European Commission is excessive, making decisions on policies regarding Israel without seeking first the strong views of member states.

Sending an invitation to a summit on Tuesday, European Council President Charles Michel said that if the EU “was not careful”, the conflict could be “devour extremism” throughout Europe, reports The Guardian”.

He has also expressed concern over the consequences of neighbouring countries' capacity to deal with refugees and the potential for further support of the EU crisis.

There is a large risk of migration and movement of large numbers of people in neighboring countries, which already have a considerable number of refugees in their territory. If not treated carefully, there is danger of further migration waves in Europe”, Michel said.
