For Thursday's meetings with heads of state in Brussels, from which Prime Minister Albin Kurti expressed his readiness to sign the agreement, Professor Enver Hasani has spoken.
Professor Hasani indicated that developments in Brussels imply that we are dealing with a new contract by Prime Minister Albin Kurti for their autonomy.
The first question is what this is about, here it needs to be understood that what's called Association belongs to history, the issue of forming association has only about the procedural side to send the sole management instrument to the Constitutional Court to grant permission to form political-territorial and cultural autonomy of local Serbs. The Ohrid agreement is Albin Kurti's new contract with local Serbs, as far as the formation of autonomy is concerned, is not about other mechanisms that have existed in preliminary agreements because they have no substance”.
It is now clear that this substance is sanctioned with a new contract that has been linked to Brussels and Ohrid. I say it is a new contract because local Serbs have been absent in Kosovo's independence on February 17th 2008, they have now won a new contract for their autonomy, which will operate outside the constitutional order of Kosovo that was created on February 17th 2008”, Hasani said at A2 CNN.
