Former prosecutor Elez Blakaj has told President Vjosa Osmani the right to fail to commit Blerim Isufaj to chief state prosecutor.

In his Facebook account, Blakaj wrote that the president of the state as guarantor in the functioning of state institutions has exercised its competencies in defence of the integrity and functional authority of the State Prosecutor's Institute.

“The violations listed during the monitoring process in the selection of the chief state prosecutor, from international institutions and mechanisms, but civil society does not go to the state presidential institution”, Blakaj wrote.

According to him, all who try to make interpretations regarding the decision/announcement of the president of State, cut off from the problems recorded during the chief prosecutor's selection process are unilateral or professionally blind.

The president of the State as guarantors in the functioning of state institutions has exercised its competencies in defense of the integrity and functional authority of the State Prosecutor's Institute, and any decision/notification that would legalise such a process (now known) would constitute a violation of”, it stated.

It is not understood how the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, for similar situations and the same position, uses double standards! People would say something about someone else!
