Serbia's prime minister, Ana Brnabiq, said Serbia has not been involved in the attack on the Kosovo Police in Zvecan Banjska.
At the UN Security Council, where it is being discussed for the Kosovo report, Brnabiq said the investigations would show that two of the three Serb attackers who were killed during the clashes were “killed after they surrendered”.
“Belgrade or security forces, security structures have not been involved in this event and we are willing to offer evidence to the international community to prove this”, she said, saying events in Banjska are “due to the logic of terror that Pristina has applied to Serbs”.
During his speech before the Security Council, Brnabic accused Kosovo of ignoring agreements reached within the dialogue mediated by the European Union.
Brnabiq, said establishing the Association of Serb-run municipalities is a condition for implementing other agreements from Serbia.
“Asociation is an inevitable element for the implementation of any other accord”, she said.
Kosovo, according to her, has three messages for Serbs and the international community. The first message, according to her, Serbs who left Kosovo after the 1999 war “are not welcome” to return. The second message, Serbs living in Kosovo “must withdraw” and the third message, the “agreements reached will not be implemented”.
According to Brnabiqi, since Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti took power two years ago, “11 per cent of Serbs have left the municipalities” in northern Kosovo.
She accused Kosovo of “violent campaigning” against Serbs, claiming that last year over 400 interethnic incidents occurred.
