Record interest in World 2026, FIFA's numbers speak clearly

FIFA has announced that tickets to the 2026 World Cup matches are almost entirely sold, with the level of stadium filling reaching 99.54 percent.
According to journalist Rob Harris, tour organisers have published statistics showing that following the development of 36 of a total 104 matches, the total number of fans present at the stadium has reached 2,307,947, with an average of 64,110 spectators per match.
Although stadiums in North America have generally seemed packed, empty sectors have still been observed in some meetings, and in certain cases with thousands of unmet seats, Telegrafi reports, broadcast Periscope.
FIFA first explained this phenomenon with the fact that many fans stayed in the inner spaces of the stadiums and had not taken their seats until the start of the matches.
The figures released by FIFA confirm the extraordinary interest of the World 2026, which is attracting record numbers of spectators to stadiums in the United States, Canada and Mexico. /Periscope
