The First Scale's Special Court for Corruption and Organised Crime has ruled that the sequencing of real estate, bank accounts and shares owned by Jammer Malltezi, the groom of former Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
“Supported in application by the Special Prosecutor's Anti-Corruption and Organised Crime Tirana, First Scale of Corruption and Organised Crime Court, with no. The 410 date 20.10.2023 has set the measure of enrichment “sequent”, for 16 (16) real estate owned by citizens J. M., 6 (six) bank accounts (in euros, dollars, and money) in the name of citizens J. M., as well as capital quotas owned by citizens J. M. In the societies “Homeplane” shpk (45% of the quotas), “Megnet IMO” shpk (100% of quotas) and “Magnet Gym&Fit (60% of quotas)”, said the modern announcement of the Special Framework Against Corruption and Organised Crime (SPAK).
According to the Special Prosecutor, all the monetary benefits that Jamarber Malltez has received in investor quality, from the Homeplan shpk society, without investing in the latter, which he has received before he was declared a collaborator, and further, after 2018, amounted to $673 million, or 5.4m euros.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha results in an active role in promoting the privatisation of the former sports complex Partizan in opposition to the law, and to the benefit of his groom, Jamarber Malltezi.
The SPAK suggested by an announcement that, by investigation, reasonable suspicion has been created, based on evidence that Sali Berisha has consumed criminal acts and “passive corruption of top state officials or local elected”, in co-operation with his groom, Jamarber Malltezi.
In addition, SPAk accuses Sali Berisha of using the administration depending on him as prime minister to realise the benefit of groom Jamarber Malltezi.
“Sali Berisha, in his quality as prime minister, has taken active action in making available his daughter's husband, the various structures of the state administration for realising the process of privatising state property”, the SPAK reports.
The SPAK also details the irregular benefit, which has taken place in three phases since privatisation, investment, profit.
