A month after the terrorist attack on Zvecan Banjska, the situation there is calm. The number of police has been markedly reduced, while there are almost no people on the streets.
Rade Nedelkovic, a resident here and among the rare ones who agreed to speak, told KosovaPress that they do not know how to actually describe life in this village, because the population, as it put it, is still under the influence of all that happened a month ago.
According to him, all of the residents here who had family outside this village have fled.
He stressed that no one so far has visited political representatives, while he says the Serb List has brought such a situation.
Another Banjska resident who didn't want to talk to the camera said people here are scared and don't want to talk.
Banjska has already become an epidex of the world and all eyes are on us. Nobody understands us. We are in the middle of both fires, because if we speak reality, we are attacked by Belgrade, we must say what is not and then attack us Pristina, he said.
On the other hand, Veton Elshani, U.d. Police director for the north region has indicated that the security situation in Banjska, but also in the north in general, is calm but delicate.
According to him, police are continuing to work on the investigation that connects with Banjska, and police members have long managed to find weapons, shelling, and other evidence.
In the early morning hours of September 24th, Kosovo Police Sergeant Africa Bunnjak was killed and several others were injured. / KP
