Abazi for the Brussels meeting: Kurt betrayed his promise of power

Former Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Hakki Abazi in an interview in “Special Report” in ABC spoke of the meeting held today, between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels.

He said Kurti and Vucic have agreed in principle on association, following the meeting held in Brussels.

Serbia is tasked with transforming its political structure, but to us Kurti has come to power with the cause against association. This is the second step after what has been said there will be no negotiations and they will never talk with Serbia. Here, the suicide political points for Kurt, as he thinks that accepting the agreement in Brussels and the Ohrid implementation plan will enable him to buy time presenting himself as a constructive political actor, while on the other hand would sabotage the implementation of these agreements”, he said.

Further in this interview, President Vucic stressed that from this agreement, he is the one who is not missing, as he reacted with criticism against Prime Minister Kurti, after re-reading once again that he has betrayed the promise he came to power that he would not accept any form of association.
