Zelensky crying at the funeral of defence minister and other victims

Interior Minister Denys Montastyrsky, his deputy and five other top ministry officials died when their Super Puma French production helicopter fell in the middle of the mist at a nursery in the eastern suburb of Kiev, Reuters writes.

Seven others were killed, including a child, in an accident. Officials are still investigating his cause.

The helicopter crashed just a few days after at least 45 people were killed in a Russian missile attack that partially destroyed a housing block in the southeastern city of Dnepro.

“The indiscreet sadness is covering the soul”, Zelenskiy wrote in a post in telegram on Saturday. “Ukraine is losing its best sons and daughters” every day.

Zelensky and his wife, Olena Zelenska, paid their respects to relatives of the victims within the Ukrainian House cultural centre in central Kiev.
