Relations with Slovenia have been praised as extremely friendly, while Osman has appreciated Slovenia's historic support for Kosovo and its international integration. In this direction, President Osmani has thanked Slovenia for its involvement in the Western Balkans, which it has also shown with the appointment of a special emissary.
Also discussed at the meeting was the shared commitment of further co-operation between the two countries in different fields.
Osmani and Deputy Prime Minister Fajon also discussed current developments in the country's north and efforts by Kosovo institutions to establish order and law.
“Where in terms of dialogue with Serbia, President Osmani has indicated that Kosovo remains a constructive party, but Serbia with its constructions and using criminal gangs in the country's north is trying to destabilise Kosovo and prevent dialogue”.
“However, President Osmani stressed that Kosovo is committed to peace and stability and that the primary goal remains Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration. In this direction, President Osmani has called for Slovenia's support for Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic journey and membership in other international organisations”, the Presidency Community said.
