The Kosovo government has announced that, together with all its institutions, it is continuing its commitment to cope with floods caused after heavy rainfall.
According to the announcement, the situation is currently heading towards stabilisation in Istog, Mitrovica and Skenderaj.
“In Mitrovica and Skenderaj have been sent and reached six additional emergency Management Agency teams specifically by three additional teams for these two municipalities”, the report said.
Meanwhile, it is said that the situation remains the most difficult in Kline, where additional reinforcements of firefighters are being sent from surrounding municipalities.
The government of the Republic of Kosovo has been mobilised with all its capacities, with the Kosovo Security Force, the Kosovo Police and all fire units, which will be in service of citizens for 24 hours. We call on all citizens in the endangered areas to be careful with their movements, avoid crossing the water presence roads, and comply with road rules. Citizens can make information at the Emergency Operations Centre through the unique emergency number 112x1>, it says in the end.
