Defence Minister Armend Mehaj has announced that he called his Albanian counterpart, Niko Pelesh, last night after the 5.2-strong earthquake that struck Albania.
In this conversation, Mehaji told Pelesh that KSF is ready to help with all capacity, whatever situation is necessary.
After tonight's earthquake in the Republic of Albania, I immediately contacted Albanian Defence Minister Niko Peleshi.
From my official authority and brotherly responsibility, I expressed full and immediate readiness for support in response to all of our operational professional capacities of KSF.
In addition to brotherly gratitude, Minister Pelesi enjoyed me with information that the situation is currently under management and control of the civil defence facilities of the Republic of Albania and the municipality of Klosi.
Together with Minister Peleshi we will be in intensive communication, as always, for monitoring the ongoing situation.
We are together in good and hard times as always! ” wrote Mehaj on Facebook.
We remember, since the 2019 earthquake, which left major consequences, KSF headed towards Albania to help with search-saving operations.
