Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that Albanian Army troops and armed forces have already headed towards Kosovo.

“The troops and our tools of the Armed Forces to support the residents of some of the municipalities in Kosovo, which have been severely affected by the floods, as a result of extraordinary rainfall”, Rama wrote.

He has published a video of machines that are located in Kukes, ready to head towards Kosovo.

The same video has been published by Albanian Defence Minister Niko Peleshi.

“Forca and means from the FA have been deployed in Kukes, in readiness to support residents of some of the municipalities in Kosovo, which have been affected by floods as a result of heavy rainfall in recent days. Willing to intervene in co-ordination with Kosovo authorities in the event of worsening the situation. With our brothers on a difficult and good day”, he wrote.

The last few days' floods have affected several Kosovo municipalities, but, to a greater extent, the municipalities of Sculeraj, Mitrovica, Istog and Kline have been damaged.

The KSF, but even volunteer citizens, has so far assisted many residents of these municipalities, whose properties and homes have been flooded by the waters.
