A deal can be reached within weeks or months, that's realistic. What is needed is mutual understanding and commitment to solving problems”.
He says Belgrade and Pristina are far apart. “We have seen some progress last year when it was about ID cards, but we also saw numerous polarised rhetorical differences, violence for Orthodox Christmas night that could potentially lead to a serious tragedy”, Blchik told Kosovo Online.
He has stressed that Kosovo must find solutions to forming the Serbian Majora Commission Association, while adding that “this is part of the promise and no one will give up on it”.
He also spoke of Kosovo's application for membership in the European Union, adding that last year it has been good in terms of enlargement, and authorities in Pristina have benefited from the situation.
“Without the normalisation of these relations, I think it is difficult to talk about the European future of most regions, and I have to say frankly, authorities in Pristina are working with us decisively in terms of harmonising Russian brutal positions, and this is something we expect from Belgrade”.
