It's not just Fatmir Humolli. Publicly against the positions of the government and its chief, Albin Kurti, another deputy of the Vetevendosje Movement has emerged. Eman Cantman has indicated that part of the blame for the ongoing education strike is the executive.
In a public presentation to the public broadcaster on Thursday, Candorman has voiced opposition to the government's line and his party's on almost every subject.
For the strike and the SBASK, he has used a very different disk with that of the government. He has said both sides are responsible for failing to start the learning process.
Even the deputy from Pristina has estimated that the SBASK is a legitimate organisation, with democraticly elected leaders from membership. A completely contrary assessment of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who has repeatedly highlighted his claims that the strike and the SBASK have turned “into a weapon against him”.
But the Mbandman MP has called the strikers' demands reasonable, until he has said he disagrees only with the manner of protest.
The government should be more committed to solving this problem, to the reasonableness of requests and to follow through on communication, but this should be on both sides, it's the government's responsibility and union responsibility. We're all responsible for not starting school. I'm also talking as an MP and as a government. There is no way we dare hinder the learning process, union requirements are right and should be supported by us”, Cantman said on Thursday in RTK.
He said there was a way out of this situation, but it only takes commitment to all sides.
There's a way out of this situation, given the situation we're in and the damage being done in education, I think the lesson should start as early as tomorrow, but I personally understand the demands of the strikers but I don't agree with the way the strikers protested”, he appreciated.
He has not backed the heavy language used by his colleague in the Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group, Dimal Basha, in a debate held Wednesday with SBASK chairman Nundman Jasharaj.
I don't comment on such actions, and it's not in my nature. I don't think it's an appropriate action for an MP”, said Mrtman. “There are many issues that I disagree with the many MPs we're with in the same subject”.
Eman Candman is one of 14 deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement, which opposed the Civil Code Project, which allows the same gender marriage supported by the Government of Kosovo.
Since March, a rift has been reported within the LVV Parliamentary Group between the group of MPs opposing the Civil Project and those supporting this legal initiative of the government.
The general public sector strike in Kosovo has started on 25 August. Workers are demanding, among other things, an additional 100 euros in salary until the realisation of the Law of Salaries.
A meeting of the Economic-Social Council was held on Friday, but without a solution.
A meeting has also been held Friday between Education Minister Arberie Nagavci and SBASK representatives, but no agreement has yet been reached to break the strike.
