Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has declared the state of emergency throughout the state and has called on residents to prepare for the storm that will include large parts of this country, bringing heavy rainfall, strong winds and rising sea level.
He said weather seers are not yet sure where the storm Ian will hit the land, while models used to design the movement show it can reach the west coast of Florida.
“We will continue to observe the trajectory of this storm, but it is really important to highlight the degree of uncertainty that still exists”, Governor DeSantis said at a news conference Sunday, warning that “even if you are not necessarily at the expense of the storm trajectory, there will be very broad consequences throughout the state of”.
The National Centre of the Urangans said that the tropical storm is expected to increase intensity late Sunday or Monday morning and eventually become a powerful hurricane before reaching western Cuba. / VOA
