The suspension of two USKK officials over the Dehari case, Haxhiu: Clearing Each Circumstances

Hadziu, in a Facebook post, has said that the case of the Astrit Dehar prison death is one of the most serious cases in post-war Kosovo.

It has asked institutions to clear up any situation in this case.

Right after the media conference, the Justice Ministry's Inspectorate report in the case of Dehari, we sent it to the institutions and persons responsible. Today, the USKK Disciplinary Commission has made a decision to suspend the two officials. The Dehar case is one of the most serious cases in post-war Kosovo. Institutions must clear each circumstance”, Haxhiu wrote on Facebook.

She has said that the Ministry of Justice will address any violations and will be in service of justice institutions for clarifying this case.

Otherwise, the Kosovo Correcting Service has announced today that it has suspended from work, Burim Buleskaj, former UD. Director of the USKK Department for Security and Transport of Prisoners, current Leader for Administration at Pristina's Pre-ERm Centre, as well as Dejan Zogaj, former Correcting Official, UD-Director at Prizren Pre-prison Centre.

According to the USKK's announcement, disciplinary procedure has been initiated against them for serious acts-related violations, inactions in the case of a serious event at the Prizren Pre- Hamilment Centre in 2016.

“Disciplinary Comissine of the Kosovo Corresponding Service has estimated that the exercise of the sentence in positions they have, hinders disciplinary investigation or may violate the appropriate exercise of office. Therefore, the Kosovo Corresponsive Commission rules the suspension of civil servants to proceed further with investigative procedures and review of all circumstances related to the event and responsibilities”, the USKK report said.
