To allow the headscarf in schools, a social networking campaign was also held a month earlier.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at a media conference, had expressed his position on the campaign launched against the ban on the headscarf in high schools.
He had said the veil should be allowed in public institutions and even schools, but not under the age of 16.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Arberie Nagavci had said administrative instruction prohibiting wearing the headscarf in schools would not change.
