The British Ministry of Defence said in the recent update that the Black Sea fleet command “has almost certainly moved the KLO-style submarines to Novorosisk in Krasnodar Krai.
This is probably due to recent changes and increased threat levels from Ukrainian capacity for long-range attacks”, it is said in assessment.
The British Ministry has cited attacks that have occurred in the last two months at the Russian Navy base and the base of sea aviation.
The safety of the base is now threatened directly by Russia's continued aggression against Ukraine”, the British ministry has said.
The Ukrainian Army has launched a counteroffensive early in September to restore control in territories occupied by Russian forces from the start of the war at the end of February.
The Ukrainian Army claims to have gained control of over 8,000 square miles [8,000 sq km] in the Harquivi region, from the launch of counteroffensiva.
The Russian Army has said its troops have withdrawn from Harkiv to regroup.
However, experts believe Russia has used similar reasoning even when it has failed to gain Kiev's control, weeks after the start of the war, and therefore has been withdrawn from that region.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the invasion of Ukraine on 24 February.
He calls the war <x0 special military operation” to demilitarise Ukraine.
The West has responded to Russia, striking the economy of this state with severe sanctions.
As a result of the war, thousands have died, and millions of others have been displaced from their homes. / REL/
