One of the important urban parts for Pristina is the Dardania neighbourhood Curriz Tunnel. Although it has been asphalted in recent years, infrastructure there is in poor shape. To survive the project, through municipal procurement procedures, it has announced a design competition, which is definitely called “Concurs the design for infrastructure and artistic renovation of the BRINDER” back tunnel.
A few days ago, municipal procurement recommended the group of companies “for contract. AET Group” & “Die Form” Owners at first company, According to ARBK's input is Safet Velii RexhepiWhich is Teaching at “College U n BT”Master to second company is Ayhan Bajmak, who is also a teacher at the <x0 College. UBT”
Periscope has seen that, the director of urbanism in the Pristina municipality, Arber Sadiku, has two colleagues from the college company “U n BT”, Because he works there, too.. More than colleagues, Bajmak is one of the best friends and associates of Principal Sadiku and his company was founded in the past year. None of these two companies in the cosnercium have been reached before.
The friendship between Sadik and Bajmak is also proven in the social network of Urban Directorate, which, it seems, has been collaborators for years, and not only by the College of “UBT”, where Sadiku has been appointed professor for years.
This design competition is a repeat, as last year had failed in the absence of responsible bids.
In the last competition, five companies have competed, three have not passed the threshold, while only two have qualified, the winning companies have received 100 points, while “Master Archits” in second place with 98. 64 points.

Except this company has disagreed with the municipal procurement ruling, so it has filed complaints and the decision has been suspended until the application is reviewed.

After a few days, the municipality has returned to the company, which seems to have complained to the polling process, and after review the municipality has made it a new point, declaring it the winner “for a haircox1> again converting “AET Group” & “Die Form”. If the first time the winner had 100 points and the second was 98.64, after demanding re-evaluating the score once again, the winner was released in 99.70 points, second in 99. Thirty points.

Periscope has addressed several questions in the Pristina municipality regarding this design competition between them and the connection of the director of Urbanism to the winning company, but so far the NKP information office has given no answers.
The Currizi Tunnel, respectively, is in very bad shape, despite late - worked asphalt. The safety of pedestrians is generally lacking, starting with adequate lighting, emissions from vehicles and businesses, as well as signalistics needed for a road that circulates a high flow of vehicles. Interventions in the Currizan Plato have caused new problems as all weather water discharges are channeled to the surface of the asphalted road in the tunnel.
Among all the outstanding problems to address, the Pristina municipality, is thinking that the tunnel represents a cultural and economic asset which the municipality will first reactitalize through the organization of the urban election contest, and then through investment in the realisation of the urban and architectural project so that it can be used even more than it is now.
The main goal of the competition is to design urban and architectural solutions for regeneration of the Curriz Tunnel through art so that this space can serve various cultural and commercial organisations.
Culturally, events that can be organised are: public music performances, other experimental public performances, festivals, various exhibitions. Meanwhile, commercial character organisation can be the market of local farmers and various fairs. In addition to increasing the level of security for citizens in the days when vehicle circulation is normally carried out, the purpose of intervention is to keep collective memory through the art developed on the walls of the tunnel for this part of Pristina in the 1990s as one of the city's most vibratory locations in which cultural and social life developed, starting from visual art and music.
The Komuna's expected results from this project are:
Regeneration of tunnel space through visual art;
Urban and architectural solution to the tunnel, including space-organization scenarios for maintaining cultural and commercial activities;
Reorganizing traffic and exits in ordinary days when there are traffic flow and in the days when activities are held;
Growing security for pedestrians, bicycles, and drivers;
Enhancing overall infrastructure, including lighting, changing weather waters and extraction of gas generated by vehicles and existing businesses. /Mentor Buzhala -Periskopi/
