Posting has begun economic growth. It has said that despite global health and energy crises, Kosovo had the largest economic growth in the region.

It's been going on with the Economic Resurrection Pack, to continue growing Customs revenues, ATK and exports.

The “Customs and ATK inflows have increased by 30.8% and 28%, respectively. both almost triple the growth of the local Bruto Product. ATK's revenues for the January-August 2022 period, compared to the same period in 2021, are 22.2% higher. Exports rose for 83.6% last year, and this year we have an increase of 29% compared to the first quarter of last year”, Kurti wrote.

He also mentioned signing the $200 million arrangement with the MCC.

His full post:

Dear citizens,

Today it became a year and a half of our government.

Despite the global health and energy crises, the year we left after we marked economic growth of 10.7%, which is the largest growth in the region. Meanwhile, in the first quarter of this year, we had 4.9% economic growth.

In 2021 we had the economic revival package of over 300m euros, and this year, adding an additional 350m euros in support to inflation. Additives for lehos and children, pensioners and disabled persons, support for exporters, farmers and students, teachers and health staff, energy courses and 13 popular cuisines, etc.

Customs and ATK revenues have increased by 30.8% and 28%, respectively. both almost triple the growth of the local Bruto Product.

ATK's revenues for the January-August 2022 period, compared to the same period in 2021, are 22.2% higher.

Exports rose for 83.6% last year, and this year we have an increase of 29% compared to the first quarter of last year.

We signed an MCC agreement worth over $200 million.

We fought the informal economy, undeclared work and smuggling. Customs has uncovered 1,778 illegal acts at 2021 (64% higher than 2020), and in the first eight months of this year it has reached the average quota for months of 2021. ATK has prevented damage to the state budget worth over 12m euros. While the Market Inspectorate has increased the number of inspections (more than 6 thousand for over 50%).

We have increased equal growth opportunities by making public education free, by increasing the budget for education of 12%, by providing financial support to students and students, and by increasing involvement in Early Child Education. Launching the dual education system, we have entered a new stage where the diploma provides a job, as we will finally connect professional schools to the job market.

We have invested in defense by doubling the budget. We have fought crime and smuggling across the territory of the country.

With Vetting for Justice, the state Bureau for Confiscating Unwarranted Property and Anti-Corruption Laws we have launched reforms required by citizens aiming to make the judiciary efficient and the prosecutor active in fighting crime and providing justice.

And businesses and investors will quickly resolve disputes through the Commercial Court eliminating expectations and losses.

We have established the Institute for Crime Documentation to preserve our collective memory and to tell new generations and the world the crimes committed during the war in Kosovo.

We have elevated Kosovo in the world by ranking first in the region for rule of law, improving for 17 countries in the anti-corruption index and advancing media freedom, and have extracted Kosovo from isolation by applying to the Council of Europe, addressing all obstacles to visa liberalisation and by preparing applications for EU membership and the NATO Partnership for Peace Programme.

Dear citizens, these are just some of the achievements in our joint journey that we began on March 23rd of last year when we took office.

With work and knowledge, dignity and courage, we are committed to achieving the results we all need.

Your expectations are great, because the change we need is great. But as we witnessed on February 14th of last year, change is possible only when each makes the contribution that belongs to it because Kosovo is our joint state and country.

For the progress we seek and for Kosovo that we dream of, we must all work indiscriminately and with the most noble purposes.

The good future lies ahead.
