Kosovo also gets a crisis for anesthesiologists, eight left this year, and nobody is applying in competitions for 620 euros.

After doctors and nurses, KKUKUE and other hospitals in the country are also facing a lack of anesthesiologists. This year alone, eight have quit their jobs. In total, 87 anesthesiologists are engaged, but according to Anesthesiology Clinic Director Gazmend Spahija, the needs are more than that. The height in the country is the edge [...]
The height in the country is near collapse. In addition to poor and outdated infrastructure, Kosovo is facing a lack of health staff.
Doctors and nurses have fled Kosovo in recent years in search of better conditions.
Anesthesiologists have joined this trend. In just this year, eight anesthesiologists have resigned from the CKUUK.
The lack of these health professionals has been spoken of by Anesthesiology Clinic Director Gazmend Spahija.
Spahija has indicated that 48 anesthesiologists are employed at Kosovo's Clinical and University Centre, the number that is nearly met.
Only for the needs of QKUUK, he says 120 anesthesiologists are necessary.
He has indicated that an anesthesiologist's salary is 620 euros.
The small number of anesthesiologists does not allow anesthesiologists' system in clinics- anesthesiologists are arranged in clinics as necessary. 120 anesthesiologists are necessary for the QKUK needs. The Anesthesiology and Intensive Medicine clinic this year has been released by 8 anesthesiologists who have been engaged in the Abdominal 2 Clinic, the Maksiolophate-1 surgeon, Ortopedi-1 Otorilaryringology-1, Cardiosurgeji-1 and according to the clinic's need-2”, Spahija said.
Nothing better is even in regional hospitals. In seven hospitals, only 39 anesthesiologists work.
Only one is employed at Vushtrri Hospital, until Prizren has committed 11.
At the moment, 48 anesthesiologists work, 39 anesthesiologists in regional hospitals. No. I'm sorry. Mitrovica 4; Pay 8; Gjakova 5; Prizren 11; Ferizaj 4; Gilan 6”, says Spahiaj's response.
The lack of anesthesiologists in Vushtrri spoke of Hospital Director “Sheikh Zayed”, Shefkije Shatri.
Shatri has told Gazette Express that they have only one anesthesiologist with a regular contract but that they have hired three others for special services.
He says they hardly work with this number.
“The “Sheikh Zayed” hospital in Vushtrri currently has a regular contract anesthesiologist and three other anesthesiologists for special services, respectively, for the assistant. The operation, even though difficult to block operations, is functioning as well as at the same time we're holding custody”, Shatri declared.
The director has explained that several months ago they have also opened a competition for their employment, but there is a shortage.
We have announced a public competition several months ago, but in the absence of competitors it has not been filled in Shatri's responses.
