It becomes known that more than 1,000 people and firms linked to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, including the governor of the Central Bank and the families of members of the National Security Council, are involved.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said in a statement:
“We will not stand to see as Putin tries with fraud to annex parts of Ukraine.
The US Treasury Department and government are taking sweeping action today to further weaken Russia's now degraded industrial military complex and undermine its ability to wage its illegal war. ”
