Two crew members have died after a fire helicopter has crashed in Turkey while on the road to extinguish a fire.
Turkey's Interior Ministry said the plane crashed on Wednesday in a field near Marmaris, a tourist town in the Aegean Sea, writes Euronews, broadcasts Klankosova.tv.
Officials say the helicopter had travelled from the northern province of Kastamonu to fight a forest fire around Marmari's Yalancibogaz area.
Five other people on board were injured in the incident.
Denizli region governor said an investigation into the accident has been opened to determine the cause of the crash.
A total of fifteen helicopters and eight aircraft have been mobilised to extinguish the fire near Marmari, along with 500 forest personnel, 40 water trucks and police cannons.
