The Executive Commission for Health, led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, held the second meeting today, with which the emergency of deep reforms and immediate actions in improving health sector services was mentioned.
The main goal in addition to providing services is to reach the highest possible standard in health care for the country's citizens.
Within this goal, commission members have agreed as follows:
1. To meet the needs of patients in public health institutions, Prime Minister Kurti, next week, will sign the Administrative Guide for the License of Foreign Health Professionals.
With this instruction, the licensing procedures of the missing professionals will be eased, as well as those of Albanian lands.
In the short term, compensation with professionals from the region's exile will complement the provision of missing or risk not being offered. As institutions simultaneously work at increased pace for the training and skill of local professionals to provide these services in the future.
2. Every hour when a health professional is missing during his working hours is not only an hour stolen from the state but also a threat to the life and health of our citizens. Therefore, to ensure respect for working hours on the part of public institutions, especially those employed in the private sector, the Commission will take steps for increased supervision of all public sector management responsible for the management of their subordinates.
3. The commission urgently calls for increased oversight and control through the Health Inspectorate and pharmaceutical Inspectorate, throughout the health, public and private sector, to prevent and punish violations of legal obligations resulting in health, integrity or finances.
4. Within two months, statuteic acts will be adopted and the way will be opened for the competition, which will run the KKUK with directors.
Taking into account the importance of radical reforms in the health system, the Executive Commission for Health, formed 14 September by the Government, will continue the activities and meetings as often as possible need to push ahead with these reforms./Persycopi/
