German Minister: Early to say Ukraine is winning the war

German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht has said it is still early to talk about a turning point in the Russia-Ukraine war, despite Ukraine's recent successes on the ground. It's hard to evaluate for the moment whether Ukraine is winning the war, because we don't know how the Russians will react now”, Lambrecht told the news agency Reuters, adding that these are clear successes, which certainly contribute to Russia's destabilisation.

Ukrainian Army successes have led to the weakening of Russian forces and show Ukrainians are positioned very well, and are able to repel successfully attacks that no one would expect, the defence minister added and promised further military assistance.

She also noted that Germany would send equipment and generators suitable for the winter.
