The Finnish government said through a statement on September 23rd that it has decided to limit the number of Russian citizens to be allowed into the state.
This decision was said to be necessary, as the influx of Russians “has caused serious damage to Finland's” international position.
In the Finnish Government's statement, no details were given about possible measures to be taken to limit border crossings or when this decision will take effect.
Reuters has quoted a Finland border guard as saying that the number of Russians trying to enter this state appears to have doubled on September 23rd, compared to the day before 7,000 people from Russia entered Finland.
