The senior American diplomat will meet with Ukrainian officials. His trip comes after Ukraine has launched a counteroffensive aimed at regaining occupied Russian areas in the south.
His visit also coincides with a European Freedoms meeting organised by US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin at the Ramstein air base in Germany.
Both Austin and Blinken visited Ukraine in late April. They still remain the highest-ranking American officials to have travelled to the country since the beginning of the war in late February.
Numerous heads of state have gone to Ukraine to meet with President Voldymyr Zelensky. US President Joe Biden has not travelled there yet, though the two leaders held a phone conversation last week
