Researchers led by Dr. The U.S. National Cancer Institute's Main Inue-Choi of the Epidemiology and Cancer Generation Division, which published the corresponding publication in the U.S. medical journal “Anals of Internal Medicine”, analyzed the data for about half a million, people 40-to 69, of whom 85% drank regular tea and, of them, 89% black tea.
Compared to those who did not drink any tea, those who drank at least two cups of black tea a day had a lower death risk, 9% 13%. The reduction was true whether someone drank coffee at the same time added sugar or tea milk, drank hot or cold, etc.
Tea is one of the most consumed drinks worldwide. Previous studies have linked green tea to lower premature mortality, but new research shows that black tea also offers a benefit. /Okéu. com
