Most workers are needed in air transport, hotel and health.
For this reason, the government wants to make importing human resources from the Balkans easier.
This is confirmed by a nurse from Serbia, who moved to Germany three years ago.
I work in a good and modern clinic, which suffers from lack of staff. This is the main problem in Germany”, says Katarina Tešiić, Serbian nurse.
According to data from the German organisation GIZ, about 250 thousand Serbian citizens live in Germany.
Everything started in 2013, when German immigration policies allowed the exile of qualified persons, not necessarily educated, but who can perform secondary professions where there are gaps”, says Milica Ljesevic, from the GIZ organisation.
Candidates must meet 3 of the 4 required criteria: a degree or professional training known by Germany, three years of experience in the required field, language skills or a previous position in Germany and not be over 35.
