Ukrainian MP Olexey Goncharenko has announced in his Twitter account that he has handed over to parliament a resolution calling on Ukraine to recognise Kosovo's independence. He has said most EU countries already recognise Kosovo and that its independence has been confirmed at the International Court [...]
I handed over to the Ukrainian Parliament a resolution to recognise Kosovo's independence. Ukraine shares Western values and will support democracy worldwide. I hope Ukraine recognises Kosovo's independence as soon as possible”, he wrote on Twitter.
Goncharenko chose his official Facebook account to write a little bit more about Kosovo.
In 2010, the UN International Court of Justice acknowledged that Kosovo's declaration of state sovereignty does not conflict with international law norms, violates no resolution and international act. No wonder, 22 of the 27 EU member states we try for have already recognised Kosovo. Kosovo is also recognised by the United States, Canada and Great Britain”, Goncharenko wrote.
According to him, a consistent step by Ukraine will now be recognition of Kosovo's state sovereignty and the expression of international support.
He has said there is no connection between Ukraine and the pseudo-repuans in Ukraine with Kosovo.
Goncharenko also published a map with countries that have recognised Kosovo's independence and those that have not, asking that we should line up at “.
