Chief NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, will meet Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Brussels.
So far, it is not known what the topic of talks between the top NATO official and Kurti will be.
But what is known is that they had a telephone conversation on August 2nd, which was dominated by recent developments in the north.
Stoltenberg said all sides should maintain calm and support the EU-brokered dialogue.
“I talked with Albin Kurti about the recent tensions in Kosovo and the continued importance of the KFOR mission. All sides must maintain calm, avoid unilateral actions and support EU-brokered dialogue. We remained in close contact with Pristina and Belgrade”, he had written on Twitter.
The call occurred after tensions in the country's north, for reciprocity the Kosovo government imposed on Serbia for IDs and license plates.
Stoltenberg and Kurt will address the media at 5:00, after today's meeting in Brussels. Such a meeting will include Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
Wednesday's meeting in NATO takes place a day before the Brussels summit, where Kurti and Vuciq will face in the context of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
