Fire squad attacked on Weyman Lake

Kosovo police have announced that the police unit of the Police Station for border oversight (SPMK) Zubin Potok, while setting up a patrol boat on Lake Weyman was attacked by fire.

“Today, 06.08,2022 around 11:25, Police Station Police Unit for Border Control (SPMK) Zubin Potok, while setting up a patrol boat on Lake Weyman was attacked with fire weapons”, the report said.

The police unit has reported shootings in their direction.

There were approximately 10 gunshot shots. The shooting has been followed by the rest of the lake and hit near the police boat”.

There are no people injured from these shots.

In assistance to the police unit has gone the International Border Police Intervention Unit.

Police are continuing to monitor the terrain and handle the case.

Kosovo police remain committed to providing security and fighting criminality and with particular emphasis on smuggling in that area”.
