Sejdiu: There will be association, but without executive competence

Former President Fatmir Sejdiu has said the Association of Serb majority municipalities will be established, but that he will not have executive competencies. He in an interview with the Last “” in RTK has stressed that the Constitutional Court has handed down its ruling regarding association and should not now be allowed to get out of what this court has predicted.

The court has given its opinion and these are obliged to consider that possibility of its implementation. An association will be established, but there will be no executive competence. In other words, it will be representative, as Serbs are pompously trumpeting today, that through it they will have their own delegates in the Assembly and other forms. It is an extremely cunning and extremely diabolical way to institutionalise that mechanism, which according to Ahtisaari has no executive competence. It is a kind of support technical, advisory competencies, sharing the good experiences of one municipality and another, which does not prevent them from co-operating with Albanian majority municipalities or even with municipalities from European states. But that does not mean that the second level of power is established, it does not mean breaking the unitary character of the state”, Sejdiu stressed.

He has said that Kosovo should not have the need for the long-standing rejection of this process, while he has said that Serbia intends that throughlaundering it will complete the process of dialogue.
