Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq will meet in Brussels on Thursday, at the invitation of European Union foreign policy chief and diplomacy Josep Borrell.
Political Science Professor Dritero Arifi has no high expectations at this meeting, while stressing that Kosovo there should only talk about the found and in no way the issue of two government decisions related to reciprocity.
According to Arifi, Kurti should insist on the issue of the undiscovered, after which he says it should be passed on to final dialogue.
Because of the continuation of the dialogue that has produced so many trivial things I do not expect much. The only point left to be discussed in Brussels is for the missing, and there are no Kosovo points to return. For energy we tested Serbia is still not wanting to implement an agreement that itself has signed, plates are not discussed with another state, it is a matter of absurdity, and I think only about the unemployed and it is not on the will of Kosovo, it depends on the Serb side not on Kosovo. I think that Kosovo with the missing closes the dialogue, will have to go to final dialogue”, he says.
Kurti has told reporters he is interested in the agreement, which has mutual recognition at the centre.
He has said talks in Brussels should be, not for dialogue, but for a legally binding agreement and full normalisation.
While European Union spokesman Peter Stano has said the European bloc does not impose solutions on partners, adding that the EU helps the parties only find a compromise.
He at a media conference has said the EU brokers dialogue as long as there is readiness from the parties to find compromise solutions. According to him, the progress of Kosovo and Serbia on the road to the European Union depends on the steps they take in the dialogue.
It's been warned that today's boss NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, will meet separately with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq. /xp
