The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kosovo welcomed the decision made at the meeting between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of the Republic of Albania, through which they are co-ordinated for the construction of the trade project in Porto-Romano, integration with the Durres-Pristina Railway and the Dry Port in Kosovo.
Kosovo's Chamber of Commerce and Industry considers that this decision will positively affect stability, security, as well as economic development in the country by increasing circulation speed and lowers the costs of transport and citizens' movement.
With the beginning of the work of the Railways, Kosovo will become the centre of circulation of goods and citizens in the Balkans.
However, we consider that the railway should be in two lines, which at the same time may also be a return trip, because being two directions offers much more opportunities.
The Chamber of Commerce considers that building a one-line railway does not meet the demands of businesses and citizens to increase the extent of sending goods and circulation to citizens.
Kosovo's Chamber of Commerce and Industry supports initiatives that boost national co-operation, as well as positively influence the economy of two states.
