The two political analysts -- Halil Matoshi and Nedmedin Spahiu -- have come to the defense of Democratic League of Kosovo chairman (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku -- for the decision not to meet with Albania's president, Bajram Begaj because of the location. Abdixhiku demanded that the meeting take place within the LDK headquarters, meanwhile, Begaj invited Obadiah to the Assembly. As a result, the meeting did not happen.
Could someone tell me what the problem is for a president of state to meet with the leader of a political party at the party headquarters? You only meet at a neutral field when you have problems with the concept of that party”, Spahiu wrote on Facebook on Wednesday. “E i Lumir Abdixhiku has rightly rejected meeting with Albania's environmental president “neutral”. Get me to the fence of the house and you're not going home... No, that is not a brotherly attitude or a friendly”.
While Halil Matoshi said Wednesday that “Lumir Abdixhiku has pride”.
However, he has also linked his rejection of the LDK's first rejection to the democracy of this political party.
I've never been a member of LDK, but for the region this party is a school of democracy”, Matosi wrote on Facebook.
But Abdixhiku has received criticism for refusing to meet with the Albanian president because of the location.
Critics say that on May 19th, Abdixhiku has met with Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic at a Pristina hotel.
