Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has met today, the president of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bajram Begaj, who has congratulated him on the post of president, offering his and PDK full support and co-operation in cultivating and maintaining brotherly relations between Albania and Kosovo.

Header The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has praised President Begaj for the formal opening of negotiations for Albania's membership in the European Union, expressing confidence that this EU decision, after many delays, has turned its attention to the Western Balkans.

President Begaj, in turn, has praised the statehood and statehood commitment of the PDK, its leaders, as well as its readiness and the Republic of Albania for Kosovo's vital processes in order to strengthen citizenship, democracy and Euro-Atlantic integration processes.

Also, President Memli Krasniqi has thanked President Begaj for the support Albania is giving to our two historic leaders, Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselini and their fellow fighters since their visit to The Hague.

Leader of The PDK has thanked the Albanian state for addressing the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, with a request to review the EC resolution for former Senator Dick Marty's report.

During the meeting with President Begaj, President Memli Krasniqi said that the PDK as a member of state-building and state-building party is working to build a new vision for the future of our country, always in a close alliance with the Albanian state and allies from the US and EU countries.
