KED reacts after the Ministry's statement of “loss and theft of power”

The economy ministry, through a communique for the media, has accused the Kosovo Power Distributment Company in Kosovo of allowing electricity thefts, but by KEDS this statement is not seen as a charge. KEDS spokesman Viktor Buzhala has been speaking about this for Express. The ME communiqué reportedly [...]

In the ME communiqué, commercial losses caused by theft and technical KED are said to be 19 per cent. This minister has said these losses are not covered by KEDS.

No one, much less citizens and the country's budget, should pay the high price of import for those who are tolerated to steal energy. Therefore, under these conditions the Government, with its means and competencies, will intervene to minimise this phenomenon, without any compromise”, continues the communique.

However, KEDS says these are not accusations. Rather, the company's spokesman, Viktor Buzhala, has thanked the ministry and government “for its readiness to fight losses”.

“We thank the country's ministry and government for its readiness to fight losses. Of course, there must be more Agil even the justice system, which has not been at the right level, since thousands of substances that we sent within the year have failed most to investigate. It's good not tolerate the thieves, but what with the record that the justice system is very fragile”, Buzhala said in an answer to Express.

He said a percentage of the losses are losses in all of the world's electromagnetic systems. He claimed the losses he inherited were a very high “, but have managed to reduce them”.

A certain percentage of losses are losses in all of the world's electromagnetic systems. The losses we have inherited have been much higher, down to over 30 per cent, while we, thanks to the maximum commitment, have managed to reduce them”, Buzhala said.

In today's Economy Ministry communiqué, the Government will reportedly take measures on the heating issue over the following months “to help citizens”.

“Tutje, the government will take measures on the heating issue over the following months to help citizens. Therefore, all citizens and entrepreneurs who are planning to make investments in their heating systems are invited and reminded to change them from electricity to other forms of energy source”, the communique says.

Also, the ministry has announced that Kosovo A-A3 and A4 are in production, in Kosovo B B1 is complete and is in production, while B2 remont is under way and is expected to end on 26 August 2022.
