We've sent the legal mediator, in the hope that the Government will say yes and we'll sit down to talk. However, Government Kurt denied the possibility and brought us into a situation where we have no choice, because the law on strikes does not provide any other option. We're committed not to come to the strike, sending letters to each institution, we've also sent in mediators, taking escalations, so with the sole intention of sitting down and talking, making solutions for our demands and not needing a general strike”, Jashar said on TV1.
The United Education Union has already issued its warning of a possible strike early in September, on the issue, Minister Nagavci has called such a warning a threat.
